Created as an expression of space and how we design within it, our
inspiration was the language of architecture, the three-dimensional axis
– where points in space can be positioned by x, y and z coordinates.
The minimal design extends light across each axis from the central hub,
the clean lines incorporating cutting-edge Bluetooth technology and
innovative magnetic engineering. It offers an incredible degree of
articulation, independent axis control, and dynamic tuneable light
reflecting a greater awareness of the role lighting plays to our health
and wellbeing.
The XYZ Cartesian coordinates date back to the 17th century and enable
designers, architects and engineers to understand and communicate space
and dimensions, it was a simple, magical language to help us understand
our place in the world. Something that was always there but had never
been expressed.
After creating a form to represent this concept,
we had to develop a lighting system that would explore it. The
engineering for this unique design would require perfect balance in
order to achieve a pure and engaging user experience.
